FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (WEDDINGS, BAPTISMS, FUNERALS)

Weddings: If either or both of you lives in one of our parishes you are entitled to be married in church. The wedding can take place after the Banns have been read for three consecutive Sundays.
A rehearsal will be arranged for a week before the wedding. Statutory charges apply for basic wedding and several optional extras are available.

Baptisms: a member of staff or one of our Baptism Preparation team will visit you to explain the service and answer any questions. You and the God parents will then be asked to attend a rehearsal. No set charge is made for the baptism but fees will be due if an organist is required or for a license for a professional video.

Funerals: We and your chosen funeral director will guide you through the process of arranging a funeral. You will need to take heed of any instruction in the deceased's last will and testament.
Statutory charges apply for the funeral service. For burial in the Colyton Parish Council cemetery, please see the tariff on the Council website www.colytonparishcouncil.co.uk
For cremation details and charges please contact the crematorium at Exeter or Whimple.
After the funeral, if you wish,  we will endeavor to keep in touch with you.
